Edgar Allan Poe was afraid of fame, sickness, premature burial, and basically death. Also he said, "I have never believed in ghosts, but I've been afraid of them all my life." Note that the previous quote might not be the exact words, just some thing that I remember about someone quoting Poe. I'm not sure that Poe was really afraid of ghosts, but it makes a very symbolic quote! ;)
