Roald Amundsen left Oslo on the start of his Antarctic expedition on the 3rd of June 1910.
Roald Amundsen's ordinary world was Norway, where he was born and raised. He grew up surrounded by nature and developed a love for exploration and adventure from an early age. This environment helped shape his ambitions and success as a polar explorer.
He was a Norwagian from Norway.

Nobody 'made Roald Amundsen die'. He died on a rescue expedition when the rescue aircraft disappeared in the polar north. It was never found, nor was any trace of the expedition, so the cause of death may never be known.
