I'm gonna go ahead and state the obvious by saying The Lord of the Rings trilogy (and The Hobbit, too). But there's tons of other things he's written, most of it having to do with Middle Earth and the goings on inside of it. Such works include: The Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin, Unfinished Tales,and The Adventures of Tom Bombadil.
