On his way out of his old buisness with Meip, she picked up Anne's diary and gave it to him to read. Otto Frank publishes Anne Franks diary on June 25,1947

by making 1,500 copies of her diary in dutch to fulfill his

daughters wish of the book being published to show the

trouble the holocaust put them through and that it was

a senseless act of hatred against Jews which I knowing

this sickens me every time I read about the holocaust

because it could have been stopped sooner then when

we tried to help.

Otto Frank first read Anne Frank's diary in the summer of 1945 shortly after the end of World War II. He discovered the diary in the hiding place where they had been living in Amsterdam during the war.
