People remember Anna Frank mostly because of being and leaving behind an important testimony for humanity, that of the doings of soldiers under the commands of Adolf Hitler and the society's reaciton to this different, imposed and masochist way of thought. Other than that, she is remembered because of her greatness and courage, the ablity to see the world differently, and under the eyes of a growing child and into a woman, as Hitler's government evolves. She tells facts in her diary with great honesty, vivacy and sometimes even exageration, telling in detail the coming and goings of her family. Her diary was her companion in times of need, present for her 13th birthday to which she turned to for comfort and confiding. And while her personal world around her slowly crumbled, her diary remained intact, and the stories she wrote were a fresh and direct representation to her heart and innermost feelings about everything. Her strenght is another solid reason, because having to flee suddenly, at night from her home, leave everything behing and with no explanantion whatsoever, is something unimaginable to the teens who read her diary today. She had to endure every sort of pain, and grow up suddenly; whether it was food shortages or hearing noises every night, spending life--who sould be at this age carefree-- in a pent-up storage room, is something that only a person of great values could keep up with. She also had great ideas about the value of words, the world, and people and change. This is why the legacy she has left behind has given testimony of the Second World War, given hope to millions of teens accross the world, and taught us the great injustice of War: how thousands of musicians, poets, writers, and people who could have changed the world were killed injustly.
