To remove the front drive shaft on a 2001 Honda Foreman 450 ES, first ensure the ATV is on a flat surface and securely supported. Disconnect the front differential by removing the bolts that secure it, and then detach the drive shaft from the front differential and the front axle. Be sure to mark or remember the orientation of the parts for reassembly. Finally, slide the drive shaft out of the transmission or drive case.
The front differential is an "open" differential. No limited slip components there.
The front differential uses 80w90.

Unless you have a 4x4 or 6x6 unit, there is no front differential.
