Kia sporatges are great cars with one quirk. they must BE WARMED UP COMPLETELY . if you crank it up and go 1/2 a mile,then shut it off. then say 20 minutes later do the same thing the computer gets confused and will race the engine and also will not let you go into 4 th gear on an automatic until the temp sensor sends the warmed up signal and makes the computer happy. simple fix ,let it warm up completely and the problem will go away.
