If all the gauges and odometer on your 1992 Mazda 929 have stopped working, it could be due to a blown fuse, a malfunctioning instrument cluster, or an issue with the vehicle's wiring. Check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the dashboard instruments. If the fuses are fine, the problem may lie within the instrument cluster itself or the connections behind it. In that case, you may need to consult a mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
Definitely take apart the gauges, check and make sure all cables are intact.
If your odometer/speedometer stopped working, then you must replace the "vehicle speed sensor" located on top of the differential if your have a manual transmission.
i
2002 mazda ,,gauges are still working after taking out key..any ideas
I don't know but it happend to me too this morning....:S
it could be the fans motor
It is the odometer in kilometers, the first is in miles.
If the odometer is not working while the speedometer functions in a Mazda B2500, the issue may be related to a faulty gear or drive mechanism within the speedometer assembly. Typically, the speedometer uses a cable or electronic signal from the vehicle's speed sensor, which can still operate even if the odometer's internal gears are malfunctioning. Another possibility could be a problem with the vehicle's instrument cluster itself. A thorough inspection of these components is recommended to identify the exact cause.
Worm gear is broken. Easy fix just replace worm gear .
no it will not reset..
should have both if u are in U.S... Mile will be the better number, if u are in Canada, KM will be the bigger number on the odometer
You will have to determine if the fuse, the switch, the wiper motor, the linkage, the pulse board or the wiring/connections is at fault before you can fix it.
