Actually if the fluid is coming down the clutch pedal it is probably your clutch master cylinder going bad or the seal around it. No worries it is a cheap fix. If it is coming down the clutch pedal it has nothing to do with your brakes. Some people well most use brake fluid for the clutch.
If a truck has a clutch brake it would only be used when coming to a complete stop. By pushing the clutch peddle completely to the floor you would apply the clutch brake. This stops the clutch disc from spinning making it easier to shift into 1st or reverse gear. Normal shifting while driving you would not need to or want to push the clutch peddle to the floor to activate the clutch brake.
When you depress the clutch pedal all the way down the clutch brake stops the input shaft from rotating. This allows the transmission to be put in gear. Never depress the clutch fully ( all the way to the floor) when the truck is moving in any gear. The clutch brake is about the size of a compact disc and cannot stop the input shaft when the truck is moving in gear. This will destroy the clutch brake.
No pressure in clutch resevior, its next to the brake resevior, if its empty, put more, if not you have a leak.
The brake pedal will sink to the floor when applied and the brake fluid reservoir remains full.
Sounds like the throw-out bearing
The clutch can't be adjusted. It is an hydraulic clutch. The clutch pedal sends pressure from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder on the clutch. IF you are having trouble with it the thing to do is bleed the air out at the slave cylinder. Have an assistant pump the clutch and hold it to the floor. Then open the bleed valve on the slave cylinder to let the air out of the system. On the final bleed hold the clutch to the floor and close the bleed valve on the slave cylinder. The clutch master cylinder operates of the brake fluid reservoir. Make sure you keep this full of brake fluid as you bleed the clutch.
The clutch is hydraulic and cannot be tightened. If it isn't releasing you need to bleed the slave cylinder at the clutch housing of air. Pump up the pedal three or 4 times and hold it to the floor while someone opens the air bleeder on the slave cylinder. Do this until no more air comes out. then holding the clutch to the floor close the valve. The clutch master cylinder is below the brake master cylinder and shares the same brake fluid.
There is a bleeder valve on the front of the clutch slave cylinder right next to the line running in. You pump the clutch a little and then you hold it to the floor while someone opens the valve and it spits the fluid out then you close it and repeat until it has no air in it and the clutch is tight. If it is for the brakes the bleeder valves are on all the brakes and you do it the same way with all four starting with the brake farthest from the brake master cylinder and work your way closest to the master cylinder. That is how you do it.
Safest way: Set Parking brake Push clutch pedal to the floor Shift to neutral Turn key to start

u must bleed the system . fill the clutch master cylinder with dot 3 brake fluid and keep an eye on it when bleeding so it wont run out ,have someone pump clutch pedal 3 times and hold to floor and oper bleeder valve on clutch slave cylinder till no air comes out then go to clutch damper and do the same ,follow clutch line fromclutch master cylinderto damper.
On these older mb the brake master reservoir share the fluid with the clutch fluid for the master cylinder located under the clutch pedal, they must have, midgets working the assy line when these cars were procuced theres a lot of work involved to remove it rmove the floor mats an follow the fluid line running to the master and the the other line going through the firewall into the brake maser cylinder reservoir ,you have to loosen the clutch pedal and brake pedal assy and brake light switch and safety switch need to purchase a manual to do the job properly or iy dont feel confident let a tech do it time 3 to 5 hours plus waiting for the oart 4 days nobody local had it
