Check the fuse, the bulbs, and the brake light switch.
check fuses, check brake light switch behind brake pedal.
I suspect either a faulty ground circuit, or a much easier fix, faulty bulb/bulbs. You might be surprised the havoc a grounded out bulb will cause an electrical system.
check the bulbs themselves they sometimes short out internaly & cause feedback also check sidemarker lights I have changed all bulbs and fuses! Wiring problem???
Check the switch
Check all the brake lights and dont forget the one behind the back window. That should fix the problem.
It depends on the exact problem. If it's that both brake lights in the back do not work and the middle one works, it could be your turn signal switch.
replace the break light bulbs?
Check bulbs Check switch
I have a chev cavlier 1995 and the running lights do no work---on the dash the green light keeps blinking----what should I do?
Check the fuse for the brake lights. It should be marked stop/haz on the fuse box cover.
To fix the tail brake lights on a Pontiac Fiero, first, check the bulbs to ensure they are not burnt out; replace them if necessary. Next, inspect the fuse related to the tail lights in the fuse box and replace it if it's blown. If the lights still do not work, examine the wiring for any damage or loose connections, and test the brake light switch located near the brake pedal to ensure it is functioning properly.
To fix a 95 Dodge Dakota with no brake lights, first check to ensure the fuse has not blown. If the fuse is good, check to ensure the brake light bulbs are not burn out.
