Yes.
Dexron III/Mercon automotive Transmission Fluid (ATF) is generally recommended as a replacement fluid for automatic transmissions meeting original equipment manufacturers (O.E.M.) performance requirements for current General Motors, Ford, other domestic and imported passenger cars, vans and light trucks where DEXRON II, DEXRON II-E, DEXRON III, AND Ford/MERCON fluids are specified.

DexronII is recommended, this is available at any good car accessory outlet.
Nissan Matic-D or DexronIII/Mercon
The A245E transmission typically holds around 7.7 quarts of automatic transmission fluid (ATF) when completely drained. However, it is important to refer to the specific vehicle's owner's manual or service guide for the exact fluid capacity, as it can vary depending on the model and year of the vehicle. It is also crucial to use the recommended type of ATF to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the transmission.
It usually tells you right on the dipstick, this model takes dexronII.
Originally it would have used Dexron II. Dexron II has been replaced by DexronIII/Mercon and that's what you should use now.
Near the back of the engine in the middle there is a dipsick. Take out the dipstick and put a funnel in there and fill it up with about 4-5 quarts of oil if your changing the fluid. Use dexronIII fluid.
pull out the dipstick, put a small funnel into the dipstick tube and add until its between the hot and cold marks on the dipstick with the engine running. if you've drained the fluid, start by adding 4 quarts of dexronII, check the level(again, with the engine running) and add more as necessary to get the level between hot and cold.
Either the E4OD or C6 will work fine with DexronIII/Mercon. This fluid is widely available and will exceed the requirements of the transmission. If you would like a bit more protection, MerconVI is a synthetic fluid and will also work. The fluid level should be checked with the engine running and the vehicle in park.
The owners manual for my '95 Sonoma 2.2L, 5 speed, indicates DexronIII/Mercon not gear oil, so the switch must have been 1995 or earlier.
Replace will replace one instance of what you want to replace. Replace All will replace all instances of what you want to replace.
