White smoke is generally caused by coolant "anti-freeze" being introduced to the engine combustion and "out the tailpipe". Unless the "exaust gasket" doubles as a intake/coolant path gasket I don't believe that is your problem. Take the car to a reputable shop for a coolant system pressure and/or dye check. Good luck!
The exhaust manifold needs to have a gasket in place to help seal the juncture between the manifold and the engine. After the gasket and gasket sealer are in place, tighten the bolts for the exhaust manifold. The exhaust pipe can then be replaced on the new exhaust manifold.
you will have to unbolt the exhaust pipe from the manifold pipe and then you unbolt the manifold pipe from the engine, remove old gasket and make sure both sides are clean of the old gasket and then install new gasket and bolt manifold back onto engine.
an exhaust flange gasket, is the gasket, commonly called a donut that is used to seal where the exhaust pipe is bolted to the exhaust manifold
To replace an exhaust manifold gasket, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove any components obstructing access to the exhaust manifold, then unbolt the manifold from the engine. Carefully remove the old gasket, clean the surfaces, and install the new gasket, ensuring proper alignment. Reattach the manifold, torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications, and reassemble any removed components.
No. There would be a gasket between the head and the block, though.
Just because you had the heads tested does not mean it fixes everything. Engine blocks crack to. drain anti freeze fluch with water and put in K&N block sealer. DO NOT USE WITH ANTI FREEZE IN IT, IT MIXES AND TURNS TO JELLO. WAIT SEVERAL DAYS AFTER THEN REPLACE ANTI FREEZE. AFTER YOU FLUSH ENGINE AGAIN. SHOULD FIX PROBLEM!
blown head gasket!
Due head gasket worn out
A gm 3.8 l v6 or 3800 cc engine cannot have antifreeze in exhaust without first getting into the engine. If its getting into the exhaust it may be entering the cumbustion chambers through a damaged cylinder head or head gasket. Also this engine depending on the model year may have issues with the intake manifold gasket, that can cause antifreeze to leak into the engine oil.
No, the exhaust gases are too hot. Generally a collapsible metal gasket is used on exhaust.
Intake & exhaust manifold must be removed. Then the head must be removed. head inspected for cracks or warping, and new head gasket installed. Not a repair for a novice.
Yes. Major job, not for the inexperienced novice.
