yes it can if not installed properly u will need a good after market alarm installer who knows about the cars electrical systems and compatibilities . my 02 montecarlo after market alarm has gotten rewired 3 times because of several issues my sensors would light up as well as my trunk would open on its own alarn would go off on its own. ect i can go on forever...
