No,car will not run rich.Infact it gives misfires since escaping fuel will be the ultimate result if we use wrong spark plugs.
Runnibg rich usually.
Yes.
if the spark plugs are black because your car is running too rich. your plugs are fouled.
Engine is running extremely rich.
If the spark plug is fouled ("too rich" or in other words: Too much fuel, not enough air or spark to ignite): It is possible that the rich fuel will dirty up an O2 sensor, which may trigger a P0420 error.
not really.new spark plugs should help to decrease hc emissions hc emisions are caused by unburnt fuel which is usually caused by faulty spark plugs or faults in the ignition system which would cause the engine to misfire creating a rich mixture ie high hc (hydrocarbons)
Gas mixed to rich
Oil and gas mixture too rich. : o )
It will be smoking black out of the exhaust / Running RICH. Spark plugs will be fouled out/ Black. Replace them if it is running rich. Plugs will not fix your problem. Replace map sensor.
The car is either using oil or the gasoline is set to rich.
It's usually fouling due to air/fuel ratio too rich or improper heat range or faulty ignition coil as most common causes.
Try a minor tuneup by changing the spark plugs and checking the distributor contacts. Sounds like the vehicle is burning rich which is what's making it shake and finally stall while stopped. Dirty or worn out plugs or even a bad spark due to corroded or dirty contacts in the distributor will cause this.
