Yes, you can but why not just check it in the vehicle first to make sure it is bad or good. Have a fuel pressure test run.
Check the fuel pump fuse and the fuel pump relay.
Disconnect fuel line from pump and start car...if it spits gas out, its working,if no fuel spits out, chances are fuel pump is not pumping fuel.
Not sure what is wrong with your car but if your fuel pump is not working check your fuse for your fuel pump. check your fuel pump relay on your firewall. low or no fuel presser change your filter.
check fuel pump relay!!
Did you replace the fuel filter? Is the pump actually running? If not check the fuse and fuel pump relay.
Check your fuel pressure. No pressure means the pump is not running or defective. Check for voltage at the pump harness and pump relay. If you have voltage and fuel pressure to spec, then you have some other issue, and the fuel pump is not the problem.
check fuel pump pressure
check plugs and fuel pump
Check that the 'new' fuel pump is actually pumping.
lack of fuel check fuel pump pressure and air filter
first check to see if fuel filter is clogged.if you have an electric fuel pump, check the fuel pump fuse. next check the fuel lift pump. then check the injector pump
To test a fuel pump you need to check multiple things...first if the car wont start and you think it is the fuel pump start by getting a rubber hammer and lightly beat on the fuel tank from under the car while someone else is trying to start the car...if it starts you need a fuel pump...next you will need to check for voltage at the pumps connector with a volt meter...you should have about 12 volts...you can also check for fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge that you can get at any auto parts store...hope this helps
