when you drive with an oil leak the oil drips onto the road and makes the road surface slippery for motor cycles and other vehicles.
Oil leak Burnt oil smell as oil spills on hot engine
in some cases yes you will have an oil leak
an oil pan leak is adding oil to the already polluted environment, causes you to drive with your car a bit low on oil at times, and causes unsightly stains under the car .aside from all this if you monitor the oil level and keep it where it should be , not much of anything else ,i can think of,
An oil leak is always going to be out of the engine as the engine contains oil and the car does not. I think you are saying you are loosing oil with no apparent leak. If that is the case the engine is burning oil and that is why you see no leaks.
It depends on where the leak is and what is causing the leak.
Because you have an oil leak.
1) A hole or crack in the engine block 2) leak in any oil passageways or hoses. 3) Missing oil pan plug. It would be best to get underneath your car and look for oil leaks. If ALL your oil is gone then you should have no problem identifying the leak. Pour a little oil in the engine oil filler hole and see where it leaks back out. DO Not drive without oil!!!! you'll ruin your engine.
The car will over heat.
There are innumerable points for the leak, cost for repair will depend on where it is. You can drive the car only if the leak is minor and the temperature gauge shows normal temperature.
It will continue to leak oil and if you do not add oil regularly it will eventually cause engine damage.
