Yes
A good quality antifreeze i.e. Prestone or Zerex mixed 50/50 with water
you can use the green prestone 50/50 or engine ice for better perforemance
sugestion on anti freeze use prestone it has a good oil type base ,that will resist corrosion,
About every 50,000 miles put a bottle of Prestone super flush in the radiator. Let the engine warm up, then back flush the system with a Prestone flush and fill kit. After flushing the system put in a new thermostat. Fill the system up with Prestone antifreeze. This is the ony maintenance you need to do to keep your car cool.
yeah but why
Any good commercial brand (Zerex, Prestone) mixed 50/50 with water hi, I am the technical manager at prestone. you should really flush and then refill your cooling system with one of the above brands. Make sure that you only use deionized or distilled water in a 50/50 mixure when refilling. never go above a 70% antifreeze/30% water ratio or gelling can occur.
You can pretty much use any antifreeze you like. When you do the drain and fill try flushing the system out also. I've been replacing all of mine with the new Prestone.."mixes with any antifreeze" stuff. It's easy to find just about anywhere and I don't have to worry about what color gets put in down the road.
Antifreeze has to be put in at the overflow bottle.
If the color in the car is green...yes. If you are changing the coolant completely, give it a good flush first, then put in whatever color you want. When in doubt, use the Prestone yellow "any color" anti-freeze.
i believe you can put the antifreeze anywhere in a jeep
Important!!! Use only G12 coolant for any Volkswagen or Audi. DO NOT MIX FACTORY COOLANT WITH ANY OTHER BRAND Dealers will have it for approx 20-30 dollars per gallon. Pentosin produces the coolant for Volkswagen, Audi and BMW.
Yes. Only use propelyn glycol (RV antifreeze) DO NOT use automotive antifreeze.
