No, they are designed differently.
NV3500 if a manual, 4L60E if an automatic.
A automatic has a flex plate and a tork converter.. A manual trans has flex plate and fly wheel...
That would depend on the transmission ( automatic or manual ) and the differential gearing , cab style , 4x4 or 2 wheel drive etc. - more information please It is a automatic transmission - 2 wheel drive. Does this help?
If the truck is a 4 wheel drive it would be easier to remove the engine to replace the flywheel. If the truck is a 2 wheel drive removing the transmission and bell housing is the way to go.
Vehicles with manual transmissions almost always have more net horsepower at the rear wheels. More power is siphoned off through the torque converter in an automatic transmission than through the clutch and pressure plate in a manual transmission, thereby giving you greater rear-wheel horsepower from a manual transmission. That being said, automatic transmissions shift from gear to gear faster than you are able to shift gears in a manual transmission, unless you are really, really good at speed shifting. :)
sure you can tow anything..if it is done correctly. 2 and 4 wheel drive manual transmission can be flat towed... not recommended for safety but yes it can be. 2 wheel drive automatic transmission must be towed with drive wheels off the ground, four wheel drive automatic transmission all wheel need to be off ground ( flat bed or dolly.
The owners manual shows : Motorcraft MERCON Multi - Purpose ATF ( automatic transmission fluid ) Your transmission dipstick should have the type of fluid used for your 4R70W automatic transmission
for manual trans. it is behind the steering wheel, for automatic it is on the left side of engine compartment near the engine.
