To siphon diesel from a Citroën Picasso, you'll need a siphoning hose and a fuel container. Insert one end of the hose into the diesel tank, ensuring it goes deep enough to reach the fuel, and place the other end in your container. Create a vacuum by either sucking on the end of the hose or using a siphon pump to start the flow. Always ensure you're following local laws and regulations regarding fuel transfer.

Use a siphon hose inserted into the tank. To get the remaining fuel out or if your vehicle has an anti siphon device you will have to disconnect a fuel line and turn on the key. This will activate the fuel pump and fuel will flow from the line.
on the low pressure side of the fuel injection there is a rubber hose with a cloth cover that runs between the injectors, this is where you are most likely getting the leak and smell of diesel.
Diesel coming out of the tank breather pipe on a 1997 non-turbo diesel van may indicate a few issues. It could be due to overfilling the fuel tank, causing the excess fuel to escape through the breather. Alternatively, a blocked or malfunctioning tank vent can create pressure that forces fuel out. Lastly, a faulty fuel cap or damaged breather hose might also contribute to this problem.
Gasoline doesn't freeze. Diesel however does jellify and if it doesn't have an anti-freeze in it it will not move through the fuel lines and engine will not start.
Little yellow lever (valve) on left side near bottom of fuel filter housing. Push lever and fuel will drain out of hose near bottom of truck.
Using an OSD (Oil Spill Dispersant) hose for diesel is not recommended unless it is specifically rated for fuel service. OSD hoses are primarily designed for handling oil and may not have the necessary chemical resistance or structural integrity to safely transport diesel. Always check manufacturer specifications and guidelines to ensure compatibility with the intended fluid to prevent leaks or failures.
unhook the overflow hose from the fuel filler hose and put a syphon hose through it to the tank. I used a 3/8 hose.
It is supposed to blow out the outlet hose. I would assume you have a leak in that hose.
