If I was to recommend using auto tranny fluid in the power steering systems in falcons, i'd suggest using Valvoline Type "D". It's what we always use in Ford Falcons, if we have to replace either just the fluid or rack, etc. It would be ok to top them up with Valvoline Dextron 3 if you had to.
