Yes, the speed sensor can be installed incorrectly. If it is misaligned or not properly secured, it may not accurately read the vehicle's speed, leading to performance issues or incorrect readings on the dashboard. It's important to follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines to ensure proper functionality.
Vehicle Speed sensor disconnected
it could have a bad speed sensor
vss= vehicle speed sensor. try the wheel.. id say there is nothing wrong with the sensor itself.. try the wiring
8 Crap, I lied... I could be thinking of the wrong truck... anyway, possible choices are 5.5, 7, 8, 10, and 13.
replace vehicle speed sensor on transmission....not an easy job due to limited room
This question is very wide. But, I would suspect the speed sensor.
Could be wrong sensor or new sensor could be faulty or the gauge it self is bad
It could be the linkage from your accelerator peadalto the fuel injectors could be sticking might need some wd-40 or your idle control sensor or your speed sensor.
Yes. There are instances where the wrong filter can be installed.
you could have crossed the wires somehow or caused them to short out.
A sensor has failed, and is reporting the wrong value to the transmission controller. Old transmissions: Probably the vacuum modulator or throttle position sensor. Also check the fluid level. New Transmissions: Output speed sensor, turbine speed sensor, throttle-position sensor, fluid pressure sensor, and sensors on the engine.
Your ECU has to be reset with a diagnostic computer. not just a code reader. The ECU does not know that the new 02 sensor has been installed. Mikey with Psi Motors
