Check the oil level with the engine off after it has not been run for 30 minutes. You will then get a very accurate reading.

there is a transmission dip stick, just like an oil dip stick. check with the dealer whether you should check the level when the car is off or running, and also if in neutral or drive?

If you do open the hood a check the left side of the engine to see if there any oil drops on the ac comp top, if there is the timing gasget need to be replace.
pull out the oil dipstick which is the yellow top stick and make sure the car is off pull out the dip stick there is a level it will show you where the oil marking should be if you need to add it just add a quart at a time depending on how low it maybe add the oil by twisting the top off of the top of the engine and pouring your oil inside with or without a funnel filler

You will need to first open up the hood. Locate the dip stick for the oil and then pull it out. Wipe off, stick back into the oil, and pull out again to see where the oil levels are.
