Does a 2008 328i bmw transmission have an oil filter i went to the dealer and i was told it does not?

A 2008 328i BMW transmission does not have an oil filter. Only motor oil casings have filters in them.
The 2008 328i does have a transmission filter but not a transmission oil filter.
