yes, should never add coolant to cold engine
No , it's best to add coolant when the engine is cold
The bigger your car, the more coolant you need to put in. The bigger your engine and car, the more coolant you need
My car is is running hot and smoking... i discovered the coolant was low i added new coolant and its pouring out the bottom of my car My car is is running hot and smoking... i discovered the coolant was low i added new coolant and its pouring out the bottom of my car
put coolant into my over flow car was running hot and the coolant erupted like a volcano on the side of the over flow
When the car is cold the thermostat is closed. When the thermostat is closed the coolant does not circulate or get in to the engine block.
to cool the coolant in the engine
You should see the coolant circulating in the radiator when the car is running
The engine of your car will heat up.
Off and cooled down. Putting cold coolant into a hot block can crack it. And it can damage the radiator, as well as spitting the coolant back at you.
Hi, I think you have a leak somewhere as the systems doesn't need to have coolant on a 3 -4- day basis, check all the hoses after the car has been running and at operating temperature and you may see some leakage onto the ground, Check the dipstick to see if it has white oily deposits on it? regards Pacnat1
you need to read the product you are putting in car. Some brands mix with each other some don't......
If you are running the A/C then this is normal and is just condensation from the A/C unit. If you are not running the A/C then it may be coolant. If your coolant is low then check for a leak at the connections for the heater hoses going inside the car.
