you do not need to remove intake manifold to change valve cover gaskets. intake bolts to the block. valve covers bolt to the heads
EDIT: Theirs some clearance issues but you can maneuver the valve cover out.
You need to replace the manifold and use Felpro Gaskets.
It is the Intake Manifold Gaskets FYIilikebananas
To repair an exhaust manifold leak on an Autoquest, first ensure the vehicle is safely elevated and secure. Remove the necessary components to access the exhaust manifold, then inspect it for cracks or damaged gaskets. Replace any faulty gaskets and, if needed, weld or replace the manifold itself. Reassemble all components, ensuring proper torque specifications are followed, and start the engine to check for any remaining leaks.
The oil leak is coming from the valve cover gasket and leaking onto the exhaust manifold, the rubber valve cover gaskets get hard from the engine heat and start to leak, you will have to replace the rubber valve cover gaskets to stop the oil leak
the knock sensors (there are 2 of them) are located under the intake manifold on the 5.3 engine,,,,,requires complete removal of manifold to replace.
Head gaskets do not go bad on these. You need to replace the plastic upper intake manifold as it is leaking coolant into the combustion chamber. Common problem for this engine.
NO. That stuff will cause you more problems. You MUST replace the intake gaskets are you will wind up loosing the whole engine. OIL and engine coolant DON'T MIX.
The year, engine size and if it is the intake manifold or an exhaust manifold gaskets would help.
To remove the inlet manifold on a Renault Megane, first disconnect the battery and remove any necessary engine covers. Next, detach the intake air duct, electrical connectors, and vacuum lines connected to the manifold. Unscrew the bolts securing the manifold, and carefully lift it off the engine, ensuring not to damage any gaskets or attached components. Finally, clean the mating surfaces and replace any worn gaskets before reassembly.
if the miles on the engine aren't too high, then just replace the head gaskets. if the whole engine is tired go ahead and swap out the motor. its a lot cheaper to do the gaskets then to buy a new motor.
The upper intake gaskets on a 2000 Ford Windstar V6 engine are located between the upper intake manifold and the lower intake manifold. To access them, you typically need to remove the upper intake manifold, which involves disconnecting various components like the throttle body, vacuum lines, and electrical connectors. Once the upper manifold is removed, you can replace the gaskets. It's advisable to follow a repair manual for specific steps and torque specifications.
To replace the intake manifold on a Chevy Celebrity 2.8 L V6, first, disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access, such as the air cleaner and throttle body. Next, drain the coolant and remove the intake manifold bolts, carefully lifting off the manifold while ensuring the gaskets come off with it. Clean the surfaces of the engine block and install new gaskets before positioning the new manifold and tightening the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications. Finally, reconnect all components, refill coolant, and check for leaks after starting the engine.
