Flasher location for the 1984 merc is in the fuse panal; most likely under the dash to the right of the steering wheel coluum. It's been a while since I owned this one..
If not in that location try under the hood on right side looking toward the windshield. Usually in a rectangular black bos. Just unsnap and open. Be sure to secure the bos cover when done.
Oh, referance the actual location via your car owner manual. If lost look it up at alldata.com.

However, you can often find vacuum diagrams for a 1984 Mercedes turbo diesel in the vehicle's service manual, online forums, or dedicated Mercedes-Benz repair websites. These resources typically provide detailed diagrams and explanations of the vacuum system for your specific model.
To replace the trunk lid springs on a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 280SL, first, ensure the trunk is supported to prevent it from closing suddenly. Remove the old springs by detaching them from their mounting points, which may require a screwdriver or wrench. Install the new springs by securing them in the same positions as the old ones, ensuring they are properly aligned and tensioned. Finally, test the trunk lid's operation to ensure the springs are functioning correctly.
