Pop the hubcap (if applicable) to get access to the lugs (screwdriver or hubcap tool). Use lug wrench to break them loose while vehicle on ground. Now use jack to raise corner in question just enough for tire to clear the ground. Remove lugs/tire. Put on spare.Thread lugs as far as you can until wheel turns. Lower car until tire gets enough contact with ground to stop from turning. Fully tighten lugs. This will allow wheel movement towards drum/rotor. Now drop all the way & recheck torque after 25 miles or have a friend double check at your next stop. Most new cars have a scissor or bottle jack. In either case just insert handle & turn to raise.
