There are several methods for removing bumper stickers from your car. 1) A wet rag and boiling water. Affix the rag over the sticker. Pour boiling water over rag repeatedly. Let it soak for at least one minute. Using your fingers, peel the sticker off carefully, beginning at a corner. If it doesn't come off easily, repeat the application of the rag and hot water. 2) In a spray bottle of water, mix small amounts of either dish soap or rubbing alcohol. (Or both.) Spray over the entire bumper sticker and let it soak for ten minutes. Again, peel off from a corner. 3) Soak a rag in vinegar and affix it over the bumper sticker for five minutes. Peel off from a corner. 4) Use a blow dryer, set on low hear, to warm up the whole area of the bumper sticker for at least half a minute. Keep the dryer about 6 inches from the surface. Peel at a corner whilecontinuing to apply the heat. 5) Put some WD-40 or lighter fluid on a rag and rub the rag on the edges of the bumper sticker. If these methods only loosen up the sticker without getting it all off, peel off the sticker using a rubber or plastic edge such as a credit card, or spatula. Never use a metal edge as it might scratch your car. Wipe any remaining glue with a rag and some alcohol. There are also commercial products that can remove glue that might be helpful such as Goo Gone. If the surface appears faded, use car polish or car wax. Remember, this is a project best suited for a warm day.
