There should be a routing diagram under your hood. be careful, not all accessories turn the same way. you will need a helper. On grooved pulleys, ribs go down, on smooth, they run on the backside. Slip belt on bottom to top following diagram as far as it will go. Use the center bolt on idler pulley to move it. Just find a socket that fits that bolthead and a wrench with a nice long handle, if it moves to the right act like you are tightening bolt and pulley will move since bolt can only go so tight, at the same time your helper can guide belt over the last accessory at the top of engine-probably alternator. If idler moves the other way against spring, same thing- just use a pry bar instead.
Remove the belt, then remove the bolt holding in the idler pulley.
Belt is worn out, or the idler pulley is defective. Replace the belt and inspect the idler puley.
To replace the idler pulley on a 2004 Saturn Vue, first, disconnect the battery and relieve tension on the serpentine belt using a wrench on the tensioner pulley. Remove the serpentine belt from the idler pulley, then unbolt the old idler pulley from its mounting bracket. Install the new idler pulley, reattach the serpentine belt, and finally reconnect the battery. Always ensure the belt is properly aligned before starting the engine.
To replace the idler pulley belt on a 2007 Dodge Caliber, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the serpentine belt by using a wrench to relieve tension on the tensioner pulley, then slide the belt off the idler pulley. Next, unbolt the idler pulley from its mounting bracket, install the new pulley, and reattach it with the bolts. Finally, route the new serpentine belt back onto the pulleys according to the belt routing diagram and release the tensioner to apply tension to the belt.
To replace the idler pulley on a 1998 Mercury Villager, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Next, remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley with a wrench, then slide the belt off the idler pulley. Unbolt the old idler pulley using a socket wrench, and install the new pulley in its place. Finally, reattach the serpentine belt and reconnect the battery terminal.
Take the belt off, take the bolt off of the idler pulley, take the pulley off, put a new one on replace the bolt, and put the belt back on
To replace the idler pulley on a 2001 Suzuki Esteem 1.8, start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley with a wrench. Once the belt is off, unbolt the old idler pulley from its mounting bracket and replace it with the new pulley. Reinstall the serpentine belt, ensuring it's properly aligned, and reconnect the battery terminal.
If you are referring to the Serpentine belt, you loosen no pulley. You simply remove tension from the belt. The tension is applied by the Idler Pulley. Pry the idler back and remove the belt.If you are referring to the Serpentine belt, you loosen no pulley. You simply remove tension from the belt. The tension is applied by the Idler Pulley. Remove serpentine belt. Remove pulley. Install new pulley. Install serpentine belt.
Remove serpentine belt. Unbolt old pulley. Install new one & serpentine belt.
To replace the idler pulley on a 2003 Dodge Neon, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley with a wrench. Next, unbolt the idler pulley from its mounting bracket using the appropriate socket. Finally, install the new idler pulley, reattach the serpentine belt, and ensure everything is secure before starting the engine.
To replace the idler pulley on a 1995 Ford F-350 7.3L, first, disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, use a wrench or socket to relieve tension on the serpentine belt by turning the tensioner pulley, allowing you to remove the belt from the idler pulley. Next, unbolt the old idler pulley from its mounting bracket and replace it with a new one, tightening it securely. Finally, reinstall the serpentine belt and reconnect the battery cable.
