If its an automatic just add the fluid right through the dipstick tube, If its a manual theres a plug to remove on the tranny (drivers side I believe) and just add it through there.
The Ford Bronco transmission can use any SAE certified transmission fluid. Ford transmissions manufactured before 1979 will need an F type transmission fluid.
Mercon
12 TO 14 QUARTS
Through the dipstick tube
Dex\Merc
the manual trans should be dexIII auto fluid, sounds wrong but isnt, the auto trans i would think the same but not 100% on that
I'd suggest using a Dextron III/Mercon automatic transmission fluid.
How much transmission fluid does a 2001 ford Taurus need
12 quarts
Remove the transmission oil pan
8.0 quarts are needed for a 1990 ford taurus.
Yes, a C6 transmission from a 1984 Ford Bronco can be bolted into a 1990 Bronco, but there are some considerations. The C6 is compatible with both the 351W and 302 engines, but you may need to address differences in the transmission mounts, driveshaft length, and possibly the transmission cooler lines. Additionally, ensure that the bellhousing and torque converter are suitable for the engine in the 1990 Bronco. Always consult a professional for a proper fit and compatibility check.
