Output speed sensor
The 2005 Hyundai Tucson has a 5-speed manual.
just bought one at autozone for $65. Was about the same price as an input speed sensor and looks very similar.
probably $150.. cos i had to pay 300 for both the input and output sensor....
The output sensor is on the top of the transmission closest to the driver side. It connects in a harness that plugs into a connector toward the front of the car which then goes to the input sensor which is toward the bottom.
The output speed sensor tell the computer what speed the trans output is turning to know when to shift.
Depends on which speed sensor: wheel speed sensor (non-ABS) islocated on right front wheel, input speed sensor is located on top oftransaxle under air box, output speed sensor is on top of transaxlekind of under brake master cylinder, vehicle speed sensor is locatedon top of differential housing.
I think this should answer your question The vehicle speed sensor (VSS), which IS MOUNTED ON THE TRANSAXLE, is a "Hall Effect" switch.
yes the have a speed sensor a input and out put the input allow your transmission to change gears and the output speed sensor allow your speed to register on your speed domitor
It reads the speed of the output shaft.
Vehicle speed sensor malfunction. Most likely you have a failed output speed sensor on the transmission.Vehicle speed sensor malfunction. Most likely you have a failed output speed sensor on the transmission.
depends on if it is the input sensor (mounted in the transmission) or the output (on the passenger side transaxle)
