The ram on the rear calliper is threaded and need to be screwed back in order to get the brake pads in. I also had problems with the Munroe brake pads that I bought being to thick. I took them aback to where i bought them and the parts manager told me that this was a known problem. He gave me a set of different pads and I had no problems installing them.
