To change the fuel filter in a 1976 Buick Skylark, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Locate the fuel filter, which is typically found along the fuel line near the carburetor or under the car near the fuel tank. Remove the fuel lines connected to the filter using a wrench, and then unscrew the old filter. Install the new filter, ensuring the flow direction is correct, reconnect the fuel lines, and reattach the battery cable before starting the engine.

100 mph.
Not 100% sure, but try starting the fan, open the hood and listen for it.
Could be a vacuum leak. I'm not too familiar with that engine, but check all the air hoses, the PCV system, EGR and all that.... Also, change the charcoal cannister.
If it is a 231 V6 it is located inside of where the fuel line connects to the carburetor.
The cast of Noah and Nelly in... SkylArk - 1976 includes: Richard Briers as Narrator Peter Hawkins as Narrator
The 231ci V6 came with a TH200 3 speed automatic. The V8 cars came with TH350 3 speed autos. I believe the manuals trans was a Muncie 4 speed
Your A/C system may be leaking, which would mean that it will not hold a charge of freon, as thusly will not cool.
1976 Chevy 350 engine should take 5 qts engine oil with filter change.

It probably has a filter in the fuel bowel as well as an in line filter To change the one in the fuel bowel you have to remove the fuel line and then remove the fitting from the carb. The filter is inside the bowel Its real easy to strip these parts so you should use caution
