The Gregory's service manual available at librarys in Australia or places like super cheap auto etc have detailed how to change the timing belt.
I recently shaved the head and replaced the head gasket along with the intake and exhaust gasket, and had to remove the timing belt.
-remove the plactic belt cover casing
-the top pully on the cam shaft has a notch which faces directly up, this indicates piston one is at the top
-the crankshaft pully faces to around 2:00 o'clock at a pin indicator on the engine
-take all belts in the way off
- slide the timing belt off, note it has alot of tension
-slide the new one on.

It is not recommended that an amateur replace a timing belt in a Holden Barina. One would have to take everything off from the front engine cover to just remove the cover. Then, there are marks on the crank pulley that needs to be lined up to replace the timing chain. A licensed mechanic can help you with any questions.

Hi, the pump is held in with three Allen head screws, loosen them then rotate the pump to take the tension out of the timing belt. , Johnno You want to worry about putting the timing belt back on and getting the timing right before you think about removing the pump ! If your not an experienced DIY, don't do it.
