To check if cylinders are firing, you can use an ignition timing light or a cylinder compression tester. With an ignition timing light, you can observe the flash of the light at the spark plug wire to see if it is firing. A compression tester will measure the pressure in each cylinder; if a cylinder has low or no compression, it may not be firing properly. Additionally, you can visually inspect spark plugs for wear or fouling and listen for engine vibrations or misfires while running.
No - have you checked that it is firing on all cylinders - Sounds like the engine is mis firing or not firing on all cylinders.
Engine Firing Orders Check related link below
check the plug & plug wires make sure you have spark, what cylinders arent firing, easiest way to tell is start it up, and feel exhaust manifold to see what cylinders are firing or not should be hot... if no spark then replace wire, may be bad coil or dist
Backfiring. Check mixture & ensure firing on all cylinders.
Inefficient combustion. Check to see all cylinders firing. Check plugs for fouling. Check timing & adjust mixture if needed.
one or more cylinders not firing Check plugs ..Check for spark ..Check compression JW
4 cylinders firing order 1,3,4,2
You distributor cap and rotor should also be replaced. If still no spark. check the compression on the low cylinders to see if you have good compression.
As with all inline four cylinders, The firing order is 1342.
Have you ever met some one that you thought to yourself wow they are missing something! Well that could be that their brain is "not firing on all cylinders" (like a car that is missing or sound bad) or a "few bricks shy of a load" or "3 fries short of a happy meal" I am sure their are others check firing all four are firing but front two keeps getting gas fouled then start to skip
Have the wheels balanced I would check tire balance and check for warped rotors. Check tires for blisters and check the steering linkage for worn parts. Check the shocks and the engine to see if it is not firing all cylinders.
The number of a cylinder indicates the firing order of the spark in a sequence consistent with the number of cylinders.
