The Transmission Fluid level check is located UNDER the vehicle. Climb under the car approaching from the front bumper toward the driver's side (roughly behind and below the driver's side headlight.) Look for a yellow dipstick. The transmission fluid cap is bolted on with a 12mm bolt. Be sure to contact a pro/dealer to get the right trans fluid---different models require different fluids. Because of the awkwardness of the location and specificity of the trans fluid, going to a dealer or trusted pro is Highly recommended for trans fluid issues.
You cannot check the fluid level as the transmission is a sealed unit. A GM dealer can check it if you have a leak. If you have no leak then it is fine.
