The generator motor works as the starter motor AND the alternator.
yes they are the same motor but will have different components because one was designed for a boat and the other for a car
on raiht between the motor and the fire wall
its mounted to the alternator which has to be removed to get to it
Had a problem with the alternator on my Connect. Found it was due to a broken/corroded wire in the small jumper loom that clips to to base of the radiator. This small loom is about 30cm long with a plug at each end. About £12 from Ford dealers.
That is a statement, - what is the question .
So easy yet so hard starting from scratch.
To wire the alternator on a Ford 302, first connect the positive terminal of the alternator to the battery's positive terminal using a thick gauge wire. Next, connect the alternator's field terminal (often labeled "F" or "I") to the ignition switch or a voltage regulator, depending on your system. Finally, ensure that the alternator's ground is securely connected to the engine block or chassis. Always consult the specific wiring diagram for your model year for precise connections.
have you tried to change the alternator ? just a suggestion
Do all the regular things to unhook the alternator then take the passenger side motor mount out, jack up the engine a little and unbolt the A/C compressor and squeeze that baby out!
weak or faulty battery, faulty alternator (or slipping alternator belt causing battery not to charge) or faulty starter motor
Connect the blower motor directly to 12 volts DC. If it runs it is good.
