Oh, dude, filling the brake fluid reservoir on a '76 Chevy truck is like super easy. You just pop open the hood, locate the reservoir near the back of the engine bay, unscrew the cap, and pour in some brake fluid until it's at the max line. Just make sure you use the right type of brake fluid, or else it's gonna be a real bummer.

When you hold pressure on the brake pedal at a stop light and the pedal slowly drops to the floor and the brake fluid reservoir still remains full, the master is bad.
First be sure the parking brake is fully released, then if the light is still on and the reservoir is now full, you have air in the system and probably should have the brakes inspected because you shouldn't have had an empty reservoir in the first place.
