How do you get the distributor and firing order correct after you pull the distributor and wires on a Chevy 350?
You should have had the #1 piston at TDC, and marked the location of the distributor. You could then just reverse everything. Now you are going to have to get the #1 piston at TDC, install the distributor with the rotor pointing to the #1 plug position on the distributor cap. A good repair manual will help with all this if you can't get it done. Most auto parts stores sell them. Faceing the engine from the front, the #1 plug is the first one on your right, driver's side, the fireing order is 18436572.
