you got to take off the gas tank, remember to shut off the fuel before unplugging the fuel line, you got to take off the radiator shrouds then the seat, the tank bolts in at the seat, i got an 04 exc 250 2 stroke and that's how you do it to mine. you might want a manual bro. ha with those to strokes its needed quite a bit... just sayin but most awnsers you can get off thumper talk, its almost the same thing but all the people ride dirt bikes
