To install shock absorbers and struts on a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, first, safely lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheels, then detach the old struts from the mounting points, including any necessary bolts, and disconnect the sway bar link if applicable. Install the new struts by reversing the removal process, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reattach the wheels, lower the vehicle, and perform a test drive to ensure proper installation.
It has shocks.
Alero malibu and cutlass
very carefully
they are struts you must take out the old strut, take the springs out and put them in the new struts

It does not have shocks on the front, it has struts. You better know what you are doing when replacing struts or you can get seriously injured. Take it to a pro.
The Chrysler 300 rear struts are held in place with a retaining bolt on each end of the strut. Remove the retaining bolts and the strut will come off. Reverse the process to install the new rear struts.
if you are talking about those rubber springs yes! if they are: the new struts should come with a bolt in the box which you use to keep the rubber spring compressed. the springs have a threaded insert where the bolt threads in. if you don't good luck getting that rubber spring to compress again.
The parts cost about $200, and if you find an honest mechanic about $200 to install them. There is no alighnment nessasary for replacing the struts on Qx4s
Compress the shock spring with a spring compressor. Remove the top strut bolt. Remove the bottom strut bolt. Reverse the process to install the new struts.
To replace the hood struts on a 2002 ML320, first, prop the hood open securely. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the retaining clips at both ends of the struts, then gently pull the struts away from their mounting points. Install the new struts by aligning them with the mounting points and pushing them into place, securing them with the clips. Repeat on the other side, ensuring both struts are properly attached before lowering the hood.
I'd guess about $350-$400 at a service center for all four wheels. Struts are not a DIY install, unless you have a strut compressor (not likely if you are asking this question).
