load test the battery and if you dont have a load tester (auto zon ect will check for free) turn the car on and let the base hit if you need a bigger alternator your lights will dim when the base hits haha
A weak battery. There is not enough voltage to hold the starter solonoid in.
You should check your voltage on your battery first to make sure it is not dead. You should check your battery cables if your battery checks out to be fine
Low voltage from the battery, can be caused by a faulty battery or an alternator that isn't functioning properly. Bad starter Corroded battery connections or other electrical connections.
Then your battery is still not charged. The clicking sound is the solenoid that has a little gear on it that engages with the ring gear of the engine to spin it. There is a certain amount of voltage needed to push that solenoid into the ring gear and your battery isn't putting out enough. You'll need a jump to get started and then need to consider the battery.
Sound configuration is the setup of your sound card, volume, and speaker arrangement.
It sounds like a bad cable connection at the battery/starter solenoid/ or the starter solenoid is bad. Check these areas. It could still be the battery. Check the voltage at the battery then try to start the engine. If the voltage drops below about 10 or 11 volts, the battery does not have enough of a charge. Try a battery charger for a while and see if you can get enough of a charge to start the engine. If the voltage is up when you try to start the engine, check the battery post connections. See if you have voltage THERE when you try to start it. Sometimes a corroded battery terminal will act the way you described. If that isn't it, check the connections to the starter. If you have good voltage to the starter when you try to start it, the starter is probably bad.
Could be low battery voltage, a poor connection(s) of wires, a bad starter, or a faulty solenoid.
You need to install driver for your sound card.
sound like a voltage spike. that's when voltage goes over 15 . more than likey replace the bulbs and they should work again.
battery cable is loose Also check... The ticking sound comes from the starter not getting enough battery power. Even though there is battery power, there is not sufficient load power from the battery to start the vehcile. Put a volt meter across the battery posts and try and start the vehicle. If the voltage drops below 9 volts you need a new battery.
That is probably your solenoid. It is what tells the battery to send voltage to the starter so it will crank the engine over. Most of the time it is just a low battery that makes it make that sound. There isn't enough voltage to keep the solenoid engaged. Although, it could be a bad solenoid. If jumping it doesn't start it then it is more than likely the solenoid. If jumping does start it then you need a battery.
"Clicking" or "Chattering" Sound When Attempting to Crank EngineA clicking or chattering sound when the key is turned to the start position indicates low battery voltage, OR that that inadequate voltage/current is getting from the battery to the starter motor. If the battery voltage is 11 volts, or greater, then the next most common cause for clicking is a loose or corroded connection anywhere between the battery and/or including the starter itself. Corrosion can occur on the contact surfaces inside of a connection, and be invisible without disconnecting the connector(s) to observe and remove it. These two are the most common causes. However, clicking/chattering could also indicate:A defective battery,Failed or low output alternator or generator,Worn out starter solenoid,Defective starter. There are probably other causes that I've overlooked at the moment. Without doing a "hands on troubleshooting" of your vehicle's starting electrical system, no one here can specifically identify the precise cause. You need to first fully charge the battery and try again. If that solves the problem, then you need to determine why the battery voltage was too low.If charging the battery does not solve the clicking problem, then the problem will be in other areas of the starting electrical system.
