I had the same problem on a Peugeot 405 Turbo Diesel. The problem turned out to be the water-in-diesel sensor itself - so I have ignored it for the last 5 years! It is probably the water-in-diesel sensor which is At Fault. I have had the same problem for over 5 years on a 405 turbo diesel - so I have ignored it.

Peugeot 207 fuel filter locations. The fuel filter on petrol models is located underneath the vehicle near the fuel tank. On diesel models the filter is under the bonnet on top of the engine.

Engine including filter 4.75Ltrs.
The "Filter Additive Low" warning message on a Peugeot 307 indicates that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) additive, typically Eolys fluid, is running low. This additive helps to reduce particulate emissions by lowering the combustion temperature of soot in the DPF. If this warning appears, it's important to have the additive topped up at a service center to ensure proper function of the DPF and to avoid potential engine performance issues or increased emissions. Ignoring the warning can lead to more serious problems in the exhaust system.
the 1.6 diesel with filter change uses 3.5 ltrs the rest of the range uses 5.25 ltrs
