On the shift console of an automatic Mazda millenia there is a small plastic cover to a hole near the gear shift lever. If you pull the tab off you can stick a screw driver (slim) into the hole and release the shift into neutral - any tow truck operator can show you how incase you have trouble.

How do you replace VRIS solenoids on 01 Mazda millenia?

To replace the VRIS solenoids on a 2001 Mazda Millenia, first disconnect the battery and remove the intake manifold for better access. Next, locate the solenoids, which are typically mounted on the intake manifold; disconnect the wiring harness and the vacuum lines attached to them. Remove the mounting bolts to take out the old solenoids and install the new ones by reversing the process. Finally, reattach the intake manifold, reconnect the battery, and check for proper operation.
