start the truck then while it running pull the fuse for the fuel pump and allow the truck to die then fuel line have no pressure
Remove the gas cap. If you do not hear the pressure release, then press the shrader valve located on the fuel rail.
Remove the fuel fill cap that should take fuel pressure off and it would be safe to release the filter and change it!
There is a "banjo" nut on the top of the filter housing, place a rag over it and loosen it gradually to bleed off the pressure.

It is located on the passengers side on the frame just before the wheel. You will need to release the fuel pressure before changing the filter. Also, there are special tools for the removal. It is located right behind the passenger door on the inside of the frame rail(under the car)
Just start the engine.
Not difficult. Place a rag or paper towels around the filter before loosening bolts (located on the top of the filter) - pressure will push some gas out. Use a socket for the top "banjo" bolt - easy to remove. You will use a wrench to hold the side bolt as you loosen the banjo bolt. Be careful not to round off. Consider using a flare wrench - but not required.
Take the gas cap off and relieve the pressure on the tank. There will still be a little pressure in the lines but not so much. Wear eye protection . Good luck.
You can't. Remove the gas cap to release any pressure in the tank. Remove the filter and you will not loose much fuel as only the fuel in the line will run out.
