  1. Loosen the wheel nuts with the vehicle on the ground.
  2. Put the vehicle up on a jack stand
  3. Remove the loosened wheel nuts
  4. remove the wheel
  5. Disconnect the ABS sensor from the brake and hang it out of the way
  6. Remove the brake caliper & bracket and hang the caliper out of the way with a zip tie.
  7. Remove the brake rotor
  8. Undo the axle bolt (use a breaker bar)
  9. Remove the lower ball joint cotter pin and loosen the nut
  10. Split the lower ball joint
  11. Remove the lower ball joint nut
  12. Repeat steps 7-9 with the upper ball joint
  13. Remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle
  14. pry the axle out from the differential housing with a screw driver or crow-bar (it's held in with a spring clip)
