To remove a dimmer switch knob, first ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker for safety. Look for a small set screw on the side or bottom of the knob; if present, use a flathead or Phillips screwdriver to loosen it. If there’s no screw, gently pull the knob straight off the shaft, applying even pressure. If the knob is stuck, you may need to wiggle it slightly while pulling to loosen it.
