first is it front wheel drive or all wheel drive it is all very simple either way if it is front wheel drive you are going to need a jack to adjust the motor up and down for transmission removal and chains or just something to hold the motor in place. and you will need something to help lower and raise the transmission for removal and replacement. but first block the rear wheels I usually use jack stands you can buy at any auto-parts store or tool store Walmart sells them and disconnect the negative battery cable then drain the transmission of its fluid, remove or disconnect all fluid lines and electrical connections running to the transmission once you have done that make sure the motor is secured in place with chains or jack or blocks of wood if it is a front wheel drive then remove the CV axles you can leave your tires in bolted on the vehicle or you can take them off. if you have a transmission dipstick remove it. If it is rear wheel drive unbolt the drive shaft and unbolt the transmission cross member it is a metal bar going across the underside or top side of the transmission. if it is or if it is not all wheel drive or rear wheel drive all steps taken place you can now start to unbolt the transmission bellhousing/ transmission from the motor once it is free lower it down with a jack and it is removed to re-install reverse all steps. My recommendation is unless you work on vehicles or know what you are doing hire a mechanic or get several friends whom have done this before it is very dangerous!
Very carefully, with a lot of tools, a case of beer, and help from a good mechanic.
how do you remove the glovebox in an rx300 lexus 2002
The only place I have found to add Transmission fluid is the dip stick for the transmission. on my 2000 it is located on the drivers side of the engine and has an orange handle. When you remove it the dipstick has the correct transmission fluid that you need to use stamped on it.

In the 2001 Lexus RX300, the starter is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the transmission. It is positioned towards the bottom of the engine bay, making it somewhat difficult to access without lifting the vehicle. To reach it, you may need to remove the air intake assembly or other components for better access.
On a 2000 Lexus RX300, the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is typically located on the transmission. Specifically, it can usually be found on the side of the transmission case, near the output shaft. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any protective covers or components obstructing your view. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for precise location details and instructions.
