You need a special tool that wedges itself inside the round tube and then you unscrew the tube.
There are no plug wires. The Intrepid has a coil on plug system.

there are no wires. each spark plug has it's own "coil on top" remove the coil by pulling straight up . then remove and replace the spark plug. That wrong ther are wires on the 3.5 and it,s not easy you need to remove the intake manafold to remove & run new wires
The spark plug gap for a 2000 Dodge Intrepid measures .050 inches. This is the equivalent of 1.2 to 1.3 mm.

The plug gap for the 97 intrepid 3.5 is .035.
Disconnect the battery, remove the cables and boot covers, and remove the old spark plugs. Next, properly dispose of the spark plug, put in the new spark plug, attach the boot cover and wires, and connect the battery.
A normal 5/8 spark plug socket should work just fine.
When changing out the spark plugs of a car, maintaining the gap is important to help the car run correctly. For a 1993 Dodge Intrepid the spark plug gap is 0.04 millimeters.

If you mean that the wire came out of the boot, then pull the boot off of the spark plug and use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug.
