To remove the sunroof shade in a Mitsubishi Montero, first, open the sunroof to its fully retracted position. Locate the clips or screws that secure the shade to the sunroof frame, which may vary by model year. Carefully detach these fasteners, and gently pull the shade out of the tracks. Ensure to handle the shade with care to avoid damage.

when you say broken slide, are you talking about the one little plastic slide that in installed in the sunroof cassete , or the slides installed on the sunshade it self, it its the shade your talking about, remove the sunroof glass with the 6 t25 torx bolts holding it in, 3 on each side, remove the glass, now slide the sunshade forwared and from the top inspect the sunshade, if it is faulty, or any guides on the shade it self are bad, then remove the t10 torx screws holding the sunshade in and replace them, however if its the small plastic peace that actually move the sunshade when opening and closing the sunroof, then you will need to replace that also, that is complicated and should be taken to a dealer. hope this helps.
I had difficulties in dealing with the mesh screen and keeping the sun out, when that didn't do the job. I would highly recommend that you look into a product called Zippeeshade, which is a sunroof shade made specifically for the mini cooper as well as clubman and countryman. My wife and I both have one in our minis and they work fantastic. Here is a link, http://zippeeshade.com, hopefully this helps.
To remove Delmar shades from brackets, look for a small tab or lever on the bracket that allows you to release the shade. Gently press or slide the tab to disengage the shade from the bracket. Once the shade is released, carefully lift it out of the brackets.
Use an ordinary lint brush
To replace a shade on a lamp, first, remove the old shade by unscrewing or unclipping it from the lamp. Then, measure the diameter of the lamp's fitting to ensure the new shade will fit properly. Finally, attach the new shade by securing it onto the lamp's fitting, making sure it is stable and secure.
I am currently an owner of a 2003 Mini Cooper S, fully equip with all the bells and whistles and best of all it has the dual glass sunroof. I live in Viva Las Vegas and with our excruciating 115 degree heat my poor Mini Cooper has a difficult time keeping the cabin cold with the A/C. This is due to the fact that the Mini Cooper's sunroof is only equip with a see through mesh screen, rather than a solid screen, used to cover up the cabin from the sun. I had thought about tinting the sunroof, but many professionals told me not to, since it may shatter due to the tempered glass not being able to accept the window tint's difference in temperature rating. By now I am entirely fed up with my sunroof, so I went online searching for some kind of sunroof sunshade to protect my interior, and luckily I was only able to find a company that produce a good quality sun shade. Visit their website: http://zippeegear.com/documents/products.html I just recently ordered this sunroof shade and it works phenomenally. Forget the window tint, this is definitely the way to go. To replace glass light shades, first turn off the power to the light fixture. Remove the screws or hardware holding the current shade in place, then carefully remove the old shade. Install the new glass light shade by securing it with the screws or hardware, and then turn the power back on to test the new shade.

A sunroof is a solid panel that can be opened to let in light and air, typically made of glass or metal. In contrast, a moonroof is a type of sunroof that is usually made of tinted glass and often remains fixed in place while allowing light in, with the option to slide or tilt open. Moonroofs often have an interior sliding shade for additional privacy and light control. Essentially, the main difference lies in the design and functionality, with moonroofs being more versatile in terms of light and ventilation.
